POLYNUCLEAR AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS (PAH)
|
- We routinely use high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for PAH analysis because it offers better sensitivity than GC-MS, and it permits compound confirmation by use of fluorescence – UV dual detectors,
- GC/MS analysis in the SIM mode for PNAs is our norm by mass spectrometry because of its greatly increased sensitivity relative to the normal GC-MS scan mode.
- PNA and PAH are the same thing. PNA= PolyNuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbon
